Black's BBQ Lockhart

Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we made or way by foot through the central Texas heat , necessary to help move the BBQ through our intestines, to Black's , the only BBQ place in Lockhart that serves their BBQ with a sauce.  Blacks brisket was AWESOME, the best that we have eaten to date, juicy tender, smoky, great fat and salt flavor , and a wonderful deep pink smoke ring.  The sausage we had was cheese and jalapeno and was also fine , but perhaps not as good as Luling , but certainly made Smitty's look like something from Walmart.  Seriously.  But this brisket was fall apart, flaky traces of brisket littered the butchers paper where they were scooped up like the morsels of greatness they are.  This is the brisket that reams are made off.  I can imagine dreaming of this for years to come , indeed it as so good it sparked ideas of moving to Lockhart to eat this every day. The sauce has lemon and cumin , so the sweetness is backed and cut through nicely.
